Apprentice nominations at Bletchingdon

We are thrilled to be able to announce some good news for our fabulous apprentices, this time at our Bletchingdon setting.

Firstly, Beth who is completing her Early Years Educator apprenticeship who was selected as apprentice of the month for April!

Gemma Burgess from Abingdon and Witney College said “I have the pleasure of passing on the excellent news about our apprentice of the month award for April 2022. After reviewing the nominations from tutors, assessors, and training coordinators of all our apprentices in every subject area we have selected Beth as our apprentice of the month.

“I would like to express a huge congratulations to Beth, who has been nominated for all her hard work above and beyond what is expected for an apprentice, her dedication to the apprenticeship has not gone unnoticed. Well done, Beth!

Megan (Bletchingdon Deputy Manager) says, “Beth is an essential part of the Bletchingdon team. The children are always at the heart of her practice, whether she is setting up the room or planning special activities for the day, or just being there to give them extra cuddles. She is a fantastic key person and really knows the children within the room, extending her support to others when needed.”

Secondly, to Daniel who is completing his Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship. Daniel was nominated for apprentice of the year and although, on this occasion he was not chosen as the winner, his college Tutor, Melissa, said the following.

As you are aware I nominated you for an award. On this occasion you have not been chosen as Apprentice of the Year, however, I just wanted to put into context your nomination. The College has over 500 Apprentices, and just 6 made it to the shortlist. Your nomination was highly commended by the panel, they said they had a really hard time making a decision as they felt all 6 on the shortlist were deserving of the title of Apprentice of the Year. You should feel really proud of your achievements.

Sam (Bletchingdon Manager) says, “Daniel is a reliable and very hardworking member of the team, always eager to help out where ever he is needed. His written work and research for his apprenticeship has been outstanding and we are currently supporting him in putting his new found knowledge into practice with the children.

Congratulations to both Daniel and Beth on your achievements. You should feel very proud.
