Bonfire and Sparklers

Throughout last week at Eynsham we have been celebrating Bonfire Night, the children have been enjoying lots of lovely activities which have included firework playdough, splatter painting, bonfire sensory tuft trays, toasting marshmallows, making fruit kebab rockets, learning about fire safety and many more invitations and opportunities to explore.

On Monday evening we finished off our Bonfire week with a delicious tea of hot dogs before meeting all our friends out in the big garden to have our very own bonfire. We sat around the fire and sang some campfire songs whilst watching the flames, before each having a turn with a sparkler.

We had our sparklers stuck in a carrot to make it extra safe but we also found this very funny. We made some great shapes using the sparklers and some children even enjoyed drawing a mountain with theirs, after the sparklers, we then all had some delicious hot chocolate. We all listened really well and had such a great time together.
