Five Stars – once again

Congratulations to Liz and the Bletchingdon Team this week who received their five stars for their Food Standards Agency – Food Hygiene inspection yesterday.

This achievement is especially celebratory as Liz was not cooking at Bletchingdon at the time of the inspection. Alison was standing in to cover and the inspector congratulated Bletchingdon on their ability to answer the questions posed on the day. Thank you Liz for your high standards and record keeping that played a huge part in ensuring the inspection achieved 5 stars once again.

Willow Cottage has a fantastic 4 week rolling winter and summer menu created by Director Valarie Grady. These nutritious and tasty recipes which are easy to follow and adaptable are something we are rightly proud of.

Liz joined our Bletchingdon team last summer. She came to us after working for 15 years as a Catering Manager and Trainer in primary school kitchens which were awarded the gold Food for Life standard with the Soil Association. The Soil Association is the UK’s leading membership charity campaigning for healthy, humane and sustainable food, farming and land use.

Liz has already become a very valued member of the team, both staff and children have said that her meals are delicious and although she has only been with us a short time she has made the kitchen her own.
