When Life Gives You Oranges and Apples
The Foxes at Bletchingdon recently had the opportunity to decide which activity they would like to explore. They needed to decide between:
Painting with the paint sticks
Making apple jam
Making orange juice
or making beetroot and chocolate cakes
Each child and adult was able to vote using a Compare Bear as a voting token, and, as you can see, making orange juice was the winner by a narrow margin.
The following week we made our yummy orange juice to have with our tea. The children used a variety of muscles to cut and squeeze the oranges to obtain the juice. It was hard work but they did a great job.
There have certainly been lots of apples on the apple tree this year and some of them have been an impressive size. The Foxes also engaged in a little jam making with the apples from the field, and they also created their own labels for the jars.
