Right to Work
Do you have ‘Right to Work’ in the UK. More information for those who require it can be found on the Government’s website, please see Right to Work.
Apprenticeships
If you have just left school and are considering an apprenticeship, we currently have an on-going apprenticeship scheme. Willow Cottage is partnering with Abingdon & Witney College so that our apprentices can achieve a Level 2 in Childcare at the end of a year. For successful apprentices, there will be an opportunity to explore the possibility of continuing their studies to obtain a Level 3. Do check whether you can reach the nurseries from home as these are countryside settings and only part of the journey to Farmoor can be carried-out by bus and there is currently no bus service to our nursery on Lower Road, Eynsham.
Graduates
Graduates who want to start their career in childcare are eagerly welcomed and, once a probationary period has been served, can be considered for Early Years Initial Teacher Training at Oxford Brookes University. Willow Cottage works in partnership with Oxford Brookes and welcomes placement students. Some of our past placement students have worked on our bank staff while at university and then, on graduation, have applied to become members of our permanent staff. Currently, two of those ex placement students have been promoted to Deputy Manager and Third in Charge status.
