Julie DeBanks, the manager of our Owls Leat Eynsham setting retires after 32 years

Today there was an abundance of emotion and tears throughout our Eynsham setting, as we celebrated Julie’s retirement and remembered together her dedication to the staff and children of her setting over the last 32 years.

There are no roles in the settings that she hasn’t put her hand to over the years, area manager, health and safety co-crdinator, cook, mentor and Early Years educator. You name it, Julie has done it.

Julie has inspired and coached so many of the members of her teams by directing, nurturing and leading by example. She should also be very proud of the work she has done for so many children, over so many years to give them the best possible start in life.

Those people who have worked with Julie will speak of her quiet and humble nature and the stability that she has given to our nursery settings over her many years at Willow Cottage. We have been so privileged to have had her as such an important part of our team.

Julie has overseen the settling-in and the graduation to big school of countless local children, many of whom have in turn, enrolled their own children to join Willow Cottage too.

Julie has also influenced almost every progress change and development within Willow Cottage Nurseries since it’s inception in the 1980s. As a company, we would like to thank her sincerely for all that she has achieved. Her commitment to the company, staff and the children of Willow Cottage through the years has been exemplary.

Julie, we wish you a very happy retirement, with love and respect from your family and friends at Willow Cottage Nurseries.
