Welcome to New Parents and Carers
Willow Cottage Nurseries offer parents and carers the highest quality childcare and a preschool education of excellence. Parents and carers can leave their child with confidence, knowing that they are in a happy, safe, and loving extended family environment. Our nursery practitioners and their team work in close partnership with parents and carers to support their child’s happiness and developmental and educational needs and so provide the best possible outcomes for their future.
Our Settings
Our nurseries are situated in spacious beautiful Oxfordshire countryside, chosen for abundant outside facilities.
The Farmoor setting is situated to the west of the City of Oxford, on the road between Cumnor and Farmoor.
The Bletchingdon setting off the A34 between Kidlington and Bicester.
We also have a map of our settings.
Our Departments
At each of our settings there are three departments, catering for children from under ones to five-year-olds.
All the spaces have direct access to the outside gardens, this enables the children to choose whether they want to play inside or out.
The rooms and garden spaces are equipped with developmentally appropriate furniture and resources.
Our Values and Curriculum
Our curriculum is inspired by the passions of the founding director Valerie Grady. Valerie has always promoted the value of connection to nature and physical play in our outdoor spaces, the importance of a healthy relationship with food and the need for children to build secure relationships with adults and children to develop emotional wellbeing.
These values underpin our curriculum principals and are used alongside the Birth to Five guidance to support our teams in ensuring that every child is making progress at a developmentally appropriate rate.
Our curriculum plans for each child’s learning and development, according to their individual passions and interests, whatever their background or ability.
Willow Cottage has a tradition of prioritising high quality, home cooked food and a healthy lifestyle.
We use interesting music, song and rhymes to develop language and social skills. We help the children enjoy movement and dance and learn to play simple instruments.

To arrange a visit to a setting you will need to let us know a few details about your child, including their age and your required booking pattern via our Availability Request form. It usually takes from 2 to 4 weeks to complete this process.
